We go through our lives without knowing, where certain things we do might lead us. The fact is that most most of our actions have everlasting impressions on someone or the other.Aamir is a film that might do the same for a lot of people. The well to do Muslim doctor Aamir(Rajeev Khandelwal ) returning to his motherland ,his mother and the rest of the family has a slight twinkle in his eyes as he lands at the mumbai airport. While his eyes are searching for his loved ones, post a rude security check , he is pushed into a taxi with a cellphone by someone who threatens to kill his family. the rest of the movie is a journey of a regular educated guy through the grusome truth of old mumbai city and the fanatic maze created to tun him into a mujahid for an extrimist cause.

What will Aamir choose the cause of saving his family VS saving lives of innocent people who mite perish because of what he is made to do????????? will he give in?? all such questions remained unanswered till the end of this gripping flick.

Aamir as a film has great potential to move thoughts in the rite direction , owing to a well written script, real location and excellent back ground score . I can even go ahead to say that it should be given a tax free status as it deals with a national issue with a fresh approach . I strongly recommend this one to those who would actually want to go to a movie with their Brain and heart and to those who are willing to think above their own selfish reasons. Rajeev Khandelwal comes up with a great big screen debut performing the role of a troubled common man in the most natural and restrained manner.

Jannat :in search of heaven

Some people work hard, do well n be happy and then there are those who make it a habit. Music composer Pritam is for sure of the second kind. With hits like life in a metro and jab we met last year he continues the winning streak with 1st Race and now the forth coming bhatt camp movie JAnnat.
Jannat being the next Vishesh films release with Emran hashmi in the lead had to be musically superior . I dont know if its a sheer coincidence or a deliberate attempt , all Emraan hasmi movies have had commercially successful music and it seems to remain constant with this one too. Jannat will be pritam's fifth hit release in a row since life in a metro. Another interesting thing about this album is that sony bmg bagged the rites of this album Post a much hyped legal debate between T-Series and Vishesh films, T-series withdrew its legal claims and both the parties have settled the issue amicably with the intervention of Mr. Pahlaj Nihalani (President, AMPTPP) and Dispute Settlement Committee members.
Leaving the trivia and other info behind let me take you through the album . The first track Zara sa is a love balled sung by kk one of the best voices in the I F I(indian film industry) .there are two verions of this humable track which has traces of the Asian lounge tunes in the main tack and a guitar n drums rock base in the power balled version.the second track is Lambi judai which might seem to be a bad version of the 80's hit from the subhash ghai flick hero
but turns out to be a pleasant surprise once the track picks up. This track also has two versions with male vocals by another Pakistani talent kamran ahmed and the female version by our own richa sharma. the version sung by richa sharma may come as a surprise as it isn't as high pitched as her previous hit numbers as the treatment given to her voice is very soothing. Pritam has been successful in bringing the rock sound to bollywod and is responsible for making it a hit with the masses. The title track jannat jahaan is an up tempo rock anthem which might just pick up like the wake up song rubaru from rdb, both start wit the same AYE (SUNO NA instead of sala). jokes apart jannat jahaan is a nice young fast rock number with high spirits.
The album includes three more tracks door na ja ( slow rock ballad) , lambi judai ( kilogram mix) the remix of the kamran ahmed song and haan tu hai by kk( typical
desi bollywood feel ) to add to your listening pleasure.
i would just end by saying- if you don't want to miss the chart toppers of the coming month then grab your copy now.

CHAMILIONARE : HIP HOP POLICE BANG ON TARGET

"Silly rappers think I'm worried about a punchline/I'll show more purpose than ur whole career in one line." That's how Chamillionaire finishes track one, "The Morning News." Opening on a upbeat guitar and snyth driven opener, Cham really shows the direction of his album. Keeping to his albums concept of speaking about issues that effect not just him, Cham hit's the the Hip-Hop Police with, "Hip-Hop Police."
Chamillionaire gives something for the ladies too. "Industry Groupie" is for those that aren't groupies as he introduces, "If you know you ain't a groupie, make some noise.". "Pimp Mode" featuring Bun B is the typical super latent grown man music. "Ultimate Vacation" follows these with the same feel with exception that "Vacation" feels a little more up beat, and goes along a little more smooth. Cham harmonizes a little long, but it's nothing new if you're a Cham fan. "I Think I Love You" isn't your typical love song if this wasn't Hip-Hop. "Love You" is about the money and the things that it's bought Cham. Proving he's able to spit in a different flow, Cham speeds up and stays on point and focus.
Cham's features even the album out really well. Although these three, "The Bill Collector" featuring Krayzie Bone, "Rock Star" featuring Lil Wayne, and "Welcome to the South" featuring Pimp C, are great, there is one that disappoints. "You Must Be Crazy" featuring Lil Ken comes off weak, Lil Ken at least. Cham's lyrics still come straight over a surprisingly suspect beat.
Building off his success of last year with, "Ridin' Dirty," Cham avoids the sophomore slump by jumping right over the hump. Delivering a sharp and a very well put together album.

JAB WE MET : BOLLY LOVE CRACKER!!!!!

The regulars know what bollywood love stories are made of, and good music being one of the most important ingredients Pritam has surely lived upto it with this one. The album boasts of all the flavours that a chick 2007 bolly masala love flick can have .Jab We Met has something for everyone dance , bhangra , ballads and tracks well suited for a soothing road trip .
MIKA delivers a full blast sureshot hit with MAUJAN HI MAUJAN which comes with his signature punjabi bhangra tinch. TUM SE HI is another love ballad sure to fill your hearts with an irreplaceable feeling of affection .Mohit Chauhan (silk route dooba dooba fame) lends this vocals to this one . then comes another bang from bhatinda the uptempo bhanmgra number NAGADA NAGADA BAJA .One track that inspires you for a road trip in slow rain , sung by shaan dipped in melody AAO MILO CHALEN is worth making memories with. to top it up a classical louge trcak AAOGE JAB TUM crooned by ustad rashid khan makes it a complete package one cant miss.

OM SHANTI OM: I bouquet of retro roses.

This year’s much awaited release starring the king khan himself and model turned actress Deepika Padukone, OM SHANTI OM boasts of music as big as the mega movie. Well as far as the reputation of composers vishal and shekar goes they surely seem to have lived upto it. The album carries the essence of the 70’s melodies along side urban disco bhangra rhythms. The most prominent tracks to look out for are
Aankohn mein teri a serene love balled by kk , dard e disco an up tempo dance track with traces of Arabic tunes by sukhwinder singh ( this is his second sha rukh song after chak de ) and main agar kahoon a wine and slow waltz song that takes you back to the era of mohd rafi and piano’s symphony by sonu nigam.
A must buy for all bollywood fans the music released by t series is available at all leading music stores.

SEAN KINGSTON : the new rnb / reggae / hip-hop sensation

if u havent checked this out yet u surely are missing on some killa rhymes...
Kingston, Jamaica born sean is the new face of the hip hop revolution ( as i like to call it since disco n pop are almost overshadowed by this genre in the present times) . kingston for sure like akon manages to come up with great music n lyrics via this album - includes his current international hit single Beautiful Girls which is topping music charts all in the us and uk. not to forget another great track "me love" which sortta reminds you of the classic track by ub 40 red red wine is damn 'SWEEEEET'

PHAT GAYA >>>> DHOL

From the director of hysterical comic flicks like hear pheri, hulchul, hungama, bhagam bhag etc, here comes yet another attempt to tickle your funny bone DHOL. Four unemployed fukras who don’t do any thing in life other than waiting for a miracle to happen making them rich n famous (we saw that in dhamaal dint we)
Suddenly arrive at the conclusion that the ladder to success in life would be to marry a girl with rich folks (who finally arrives in the form of Tanushree Dutta’s character),
the four blokes try their best to make Tanushree fall in love with them. And also try to make the audience laugh(try in bold).
A script that is as old as the nani’s halwa recipie and with actors who are attempting to overact their heart out , director Priya Darshan has succeeded in at least one thing if not more confusing the audience should we stay post the interval or fro the sake of the 150 bucks paid at the multiplex window and stay till the stupid end. Clichéd scenes, uncontrolled performances, pritam’s worst music till date and perhaps the most stale n hollow screenplay are what you take back after watching Dhol.
In short the film is DHOL personified hollow from inside , attempted to make it look goof from the out side just one small difference…….this one dosnt even work well when played…
Q. what would be the sequel to dhol if ever attempted????
A. PHAT GAYA DHOL…..

Himesh Reshammiya : in or out??????

Though the ultimate nasal king hasn’t surprised us at all
With belting out another musical success in the for m of the latest
R G V release Darling, one question still remains unanswered
Is himesh in or is it the new in thing to criticise himesh?

Well whatever we might say one thing for sure our Mr Reshammiyan has surely proven to be the most consistent in delivering hit music since his initial major success ‘ashiq banaya aapne’ which really brought him and his singing talent (no pun intended) in the forefront. With an average one killer musical hit every month himesh has surely be path breaking and Banaras, tere naam and namaste London being the finer examples of his recent success. All this is surely enough to prove that himesh’s music is for sure well appreciated not only by the masses but the classes too though in fewer numbers.
With all the clubs playing all his up-tempo numbers only indicates him to be the heartthrob of the young and the restless .Ask any dj today and he would swear by his console that himesh’s music is
The most requested at most parties

Then why is Mr Reshammiya the target of so many music lovers around the country, and is always accused to be less of a talent and more of a fad? Why do we meet an equal number of people who hate him as much as the one’s who swear by his tunes???
I do agree that there could just be one reason behind this; his nasal style is for sure too much to take at times no matter how much u like the music. More so Hemu bhaiya doesn’t leave any stone unturned to make his singers sing in the same nasal style , shakira ve from fool n final , main jahan rahoon from namaste London and the title track from the movie apne sung by the heartthrob himself sonu nigam are some of the examples of the same .This might be generating negetive publicity for him not to ignore the other controversies he keeps getting in to ( remember asha bhosle wanting to slap him !!! hahaha).so maybe he should stop singing
And just concentrate on producing great music.
At least this would just stop people dancing to his tunes in clubs under influence of alcohol from criticising him just for the heck of it when sober.
Well if you noticed we completely ignored his attempt at acting remember “aap ka suroor the movie “, awww comeone lets not handicap the guy for committing such a mistake, im sure he will be smart enough and learn from it considering that it’s his first.hehehe
So getting back to our question is himesh in or out??????
Well the answer for sure lies with the readers and the music lovers, I could just provide with some insights as above to help them decide…
